Full and/or part-time entry level positions available.  Must be able to work Saturday, Sunday and weekday evenings (usually no later then 8 pm).  Minimum of 18 years old for store clerk/cashier position and minimum of 16 years old for stock boy position. Experience a plus but willing to train if you are mature, friendly, able to follow directions, and have your own transportation. 

We currently have the following positions open:

Store Clerk/Cashier
  • Operate cash register. Bag or box merchandise as customer desires.  Check IDs carefully before selling tobacco or alcohol  products.
  • Learn locations of all merchandise and help customers find what they need.
  • Answer telephone and direct calls as necessary.  Keep a list of daily lunch specials at the register. (Customers often call ahead to order lunch or stuffed ham. Take orders and give them to deli staff.)
  • Keep running lists of items to be ordered from our Vendors
  • Count inventory and stock shelves
  • Receive merchandise. Check off each item and initial invoice.
  • Price and stock incoming merchandise.  Wipe down shelves with a cloth and spray cleaner before stocking new merchandise.  Be sure to rotate merchandise.
  • Maintain surveillance of front door and register area.
  • On a daily basis, fill displays of cigarette packs, candy bars etc., as needed.
  • Run vacuum cleaner and Windex front door area early in morning if necessary.
  • Keep outdoor bulletin board neat. Remove out-of-date notices.
  • Perform other tasks as requested.

Stock Boy
  • Sweep/mop bar area every day as soon as you arrive.  Dust walls, pictures, clear all cobwebs.
  • Clean restrooms each day.  Clean toilets, sinks, trashcans, and walls.  Stock paper towels and toilet paper.  Keep two extra rolls of each in cabinets under sinks.
  • Empty draft over fill bottles inside draft coolers
  • Fill soda refrigerators and dairy case with beverages every day.
  • Fill outdoor soda machines.
  • Keep beer coolers filled and rotated.
  • Keep meat department clean. Wipe shelves, keep floor free of debris and wipe out microwave oven.
  • Vacuum rug by front door nightly around closing time.
  • Sweep store daily, around closing time.
  • Empty and keep clean all trash receptacles from meat counter, front counter and barroom.
  • Keep trashcan behind bar empty.  Check with bartender before leaving.
  • Dust shelves.  Be sure all product labels face forward, and move merchandise to front of shelf.
  • Clean dishes, pots and pans as needed.
  • Clean kitchen.
  • Keep parking lot free of trash. Sweep porch and empty outdoor trashcans.
  • Clean all glass (front door, vegetable boxes, etc.)
  •  Clean refrigeration boxes according to schedule
  • Keep sliding glass door tracks on meat cases clean.
  • Clean the meat saw behind deli
  • Clean the lunch meat slicer clean
  • Transfer contents of steam table to plastic container, clean
  • Wash all dirty food container/dishes
  • Keep all meat counters, scales, and sinks clean
  • Sweep and mop floor behind meat counter
  • Lock ice chest freezer on porch
  • Turn off lights in store
  • Perform other tasks as requested.
