Welcome to W J Dent & Sons, formerly Sheaffer's Food Mart! We are located in Tall Timbers, MD. The store began operations in 1927 as Bailey's Store and has been in operation ever since. Currently the store is owned and operated by William J "Chief" Dent.

Not only do we offer quality meats, you haven't lived until you have sampled Andy's Stuffed Ham, we also offer package goods, produce, crab seasoning, dairy, and spirits. Save gas and stop by your local market instead of driving into town.
When William J "Chief" Dent retired from the Navy in 1964 he began working for John Sheaffer. In 1978, Jo and Chief Dent purchased the store from Grace and John Sheaffer. Over 25 years later, Chief and Andy (Chief's son) have continued the traditions of their quaint country market.
At age 86, Chief still is actively involved in the day-to-day operations. Andy manages the store and operates the Butcher Shop and Deli. Together with our staff - Paulette, Cindy, Kim, David, Lenny, Matt, Stephen, Lori, Brandy and Angelique, we try to provide you with a friendly shopping experience.
